Who I Am

Description

I'm what you call an angel
but I never had my wings until now
as the sun sets I spread my wings
I allow tears of joy to fall down my cheeks
I can finally go home to the gates of heaven
Now I know where I belong.

Please let me know what you think. This picture is about 3 days old. I was waiting until I made more pictures so that way I could post more than just one. :D Hope you guys like it.

I really enjoy the emotion in this picture, the darkness and then the light coming in from the background creates a great atmosphere and an aura of mystery to this picture. (I understand that this is a collab, but I am going to review the picture as a whole.)

One common thing which I find on a lot of drawn images is the use of furs and feathers lacking hard lines and darker shades, keep in mind that although feathers are soft and almost blurred, they have the harder quill in the middle of them.

The ground below is very, very repetitive and clearly looks like a repeated patten in a bad way, the colours fit the gradient of the skyline TOO perfectly so an improvement for this and future pieces would be to add in some random darker shades.

The arms and legs of the model are very sharp in contrast to the editing, so toning these down on the detail by just using either a blurr, smudge of burn tool would be helpful.
